Remember that big interview we promised? Time to flash a little light on to it: we had the privilege to talk with multi-best-novel-of-the-year-national-award-winning author Robert J. Sawyer, the one responsible for the FlashForward novel and ultimately the ABC television series of the same name.

Robert was gracious enough with time out of his busy schedule to give us a lengthy interview, so we’ll be playing half of the interview on our upcoming podcast Episode 1.04: “Black Swan”, and the remainder of the interview the following week.

ABC released the first 18 minutes of the FlashForward premiere admist the news of the pilot episode being leaked online. An ABC spokesperson claims that they were planning to release the first 18 minutes ahead of the premiere date anyway. In any case, you can watch the first 18 minutes here and now!

EDIT (10/15/09): We had to remove the video because ABC decided it was a good idea to replace it with a Miley Cyrus video. But that’s okay, because the show has started.

Blackout2:17 is designed to give you the latest behind-the-scenes updates, spoilers, news, and gossip revolving around ABC’s new TV show: FlashForward.

From the co-writer of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, David S. Goyer, and loosely based off of Robert J. Sawyer’s 1999 novel FlashForward, the TV show FlashForward starts Thursday, September 24th, 8 p.m. EST and you can be sure we’ll have a first look at this surefire hit show.

We’ll have a podcast released each Friday following the show and several blog posts in between during the week. You can subscribe to our RSS feed to be notified of any updates we make to the page or look for us on iTunes.
